Emotional labor is a part of parenting, IE listening to your child and deciding which of their problems to help with and which to let them try and fix, also the same, and I get how one parent, no matter which one would want the other to help with this activity.

I think you don’t understand the terms, or don’t want to. It has nothing to do with gender at all, simply defining that activities that can't be seen also matter, cause stress and putting it on one person tends to mess with the marriage partnership.
