No, I think you can get excitement back, but you should also allow lulls to happen, to find the next things you can do together that are exciting. It's not cool to talk about people as if they're objects. In order to get with them, they had to be interesting and exciting at one point. You just have to show them the patience and love to help them find the next things and hold space for them before then. That's what commitment is.
