One of my first Jazz gigs in the '90s was for a prominent DC politician celebrating her divorce. The year before her husband had gotten her into trouble for doing the taxes wrong. It was quite interesting how quickly he was disposed of after that. The party lasted 7 hours starting at 10:00 p.m. it was both incredibly tiring and an amazing night.
