Most Jews I know have been clocked within a few minutes of talking at a party, usually by White Christians, regardless of religious affiliation. For this reason I find Allison's assertions uncomfortable and not correct. I should not have to hide my status as Jew in order to feel safe and welcome. By suggesting that I can or should is pretty insulting and and using rhetoric from Replacement Theory. AND it's pretty obnoxious to suggest that she understands our experience or can paint it as White alone. Some are recognized by name, some by hallmarks of belief system, some by things that are hard to place, but I'm not sure it matters. I think today's coloristic approach still minimizes the discrimination, exclusion, harassment and other issues we face. White Christians generally don't have to spend extra money on school security or have common genetic markers and diseases. But it's NOT as simple as religion.

Hitlers' problem with Jews, Slavs, Gypsies, etc, came down to the fact that nomadic peoples have genetic differences due to intermarrying AND close relationships and they called us racially unclean due to that. Jewish Replacement Theory puts a price on my head and is a real threat. I can have money, (I'm middle class and have been mostly poor) but money doesn't save me from a knife or bomb and has limited protections. Minimizing our issues basically repeats the notion that Jews don't count.
