I've worked on roughly 15 remote teams. Most companies in my industry do not dock for WFH but don't pay extra either. I've never needed an entire room for a home office, just a place to put me and my desk, but granted, I live alone, even if many placed I've lived have been noisy. Right now it's a spot next to my kitchen and dining area and I've collapsed the desk flat for more eating space only once in 2 years. It works great. People with disabilities on my teams work primarily from home so I do as well. I'm sure if I had a family there might need to be more accommodations, but I haven't had that. I'm paid quite well, no one is docked in pay and no one needs surveilance. We finish what we're assigned or we don't. Most of us carve out time for extra work a few times a year.
