In Hamas's own message claiming responsibility they said they were at War and they were expecting a long War. Israel agreed they were at War. Did you miss that part? I hope they get the hostages back soon and this thing can find an end to itself. No no one needs to be at war right now, but I know the only way it's going to calm down is if third parties can go in and help to calm people and to get them to feel safe enough again and for people to put down their arms. The war part is not a secret though.

What seems to be a secret, and should not be, is that all of Hamas’ money seems to be staying at the top. They have at least 3 people and possibly 5 at the top who are boasting billions of dollars. That money could easily cover the cost of desalination and solar power, making life much easier for them. They buy some rockets, arms, and let charitable dollars go forth for basic assistance, but not what a government should be doing to better people.
