I'm from DC and am now also in LA and my friends track what I've said, they care about their own earnings more than their partner's but the partner needs to be responsible and together.

The thing is to get someone with a career or calling and not just a job they're waiting to quit. And RUN from anyone who is spending more on their looks than their rent!
