I used to think this matters, but over time, and adjustments to various changes I found many of my older friends reconnected over time. I'm grateful to them. I no longer live in the same part of the country as I'm also in LA, but they still miss my different views of things, my creative answers where they only see two options, etc. The friend most likely to see me when I go back to DC has 6 children, 3 of them fairly young. She just integrates whoever she wants to see.

My friends here are a variety of ages, and they are wildly different and I love it. I think this flow to define yourself is good though, it may just change again later.
