I think this colorism doesn't account for minorities who happen to be white, or whiter we still get picked out harassed and worse and often because of the empathy that comes from that, we do what we can to help everyone else. But this coloristic view causes it to be often not allowed for us to discuss our own experiences. And then we get this harassment and blame on top of it as if we are causing the problem. We're not and we deserve as much empathy as everyone else.
