I think that comes from a tendency to focus on that top 10% of hot women. Most of those women get that way through very expensive regimens, hair, nails, skin, clothes, shoes, the list goes on, they need someone who can help with those costs and upkeep. They may like the man their age quite a lot, but the guy who built a safe space already may be likely to win out, especially if men avoid women who have good careers.

As an engineer, I found it hard to date. I was not judging any man by money but by their qualities that mattered to me. Men I disovered were afraid to lose the financial control. Maybe you were too?
