I have encountered many men on Medium who claim that their wallet is the only thing that counts, but it seems to me it's only true if they're not dating professionals. Women who expect to make their own money want someone who isn't a burden but doesn't have to out earn them, especially if their chosen career or primary activity is valuable.
I get a lot of attention from younger men as well and it seems men my age or older (with some awesome exceptions) act as if they're better than me somehow. And then seem quite annoyed that I don't buy it.
I do come across younger men the same age as the ones I date who have those old ideas, that my behavior is improper and such a match is wrong but there seem to be fewer of those every year.
My question is actually this: things have gotten better, and when will it change to the point that it will be just as common for women to be with someone younger and to the levels men do?
