I didn't see it that way. I felt the tropes against Jews were largely unanswered. And hearing as a result how many people were saying that "this is exactly what Jews act like" after this film tells me they don't see it as you do either. I didn't think this was helpful in the least. And the constant claims that a babe like her wouldn't be with a guy like Jonah was even worse. And was Akbar called upon for showing a gift from a man who has said horrible things about Jews and promotes them, they got a free pass for that and much worse. All the Jews were tropes, the others got to be human beings. It showed even worse with how little screen time Rhea Perleman and Eliott Gould got. What, were they afraid Jews might suggest they were something other than the punch line? No thanks.
